Bill and Diane Mitchell of Tucson Killed in Utah Motorcycle Crash

Loa, Utah—Bill and Diane Mitchell, both 64, of Tucson were killed yesterday morning near Loa, Utah when their motorcycle was struck by a Jeep driven by a 17 year old man from Loa.  The Jeep driver reportedly overcorrected on a highway and crossed into the oncoming lane of traffic, striking the Mitchell motorcycle as well as another bike, ridden by a third as yet unidentified rider also from Tucson.

The Jeep’s fuel tank ruptured, causing it and the Mitchells’ bike to burn.

The unidentified motorcyclist who survived the crash, and the Jeep driver, were taken to the Sevier Valley Medical Center for treatment of their injuries.

We express our sympathy to the family and friends of the Mitchells over this tragic loss, and we wish the injured speedy and complete recoveries.

Brian K. Jarret was killed late Thursday afternoon when his motorcycle struck a car that reportedly turned left in front of him.  The collision occurred at the intersection of Camelback Road and 64th Street.

Robert Wiley of Henderson, Nevada was killed Friday night when a car driven by Kardeldeen Nixon turned into the path of his motorcycle.  The accident occurred on State Route 95 at Marina Boulevard.
